Working as technicians is absolutely a surpassing calling
This is something you already know surely? If you are allowed to drive a car that means you are safe to work in most places. I think you shouldn’t go up towers or do rigging in high places anyway, as your own personal policy. If you are not allowed to drive there are further considerations, like operating a lathe and other machines and welding – those tasks that could be hazardous if you have a seizure, but it depends a bit on the workplace, your control of seizures, your own level of organisation, avoiding hazardous situations just in case, behaviour and tolerance of others around you and so on. If you are designing and assembling parts made by others the risks are much less. There are a lot of tasks like computer aided drafting, even programming machine tools (CNC) where the risk is small for you. You could focus on these in case there is some change in the future. You would know more of this than I do. It wouldn’t hurt to consult health professionals about this, so you know what they think. I think it important to advise the employer up front, and having an official letter from a doctor is a good way to explain their risk to them.
It seems to me that it should be a non issue in many jobs, just needing a bit of self management and discipline from yourself. You are already doing this apparently.
