Very good easy-reading book; focuses on the basics and critical aspects of 6sigma, while not compromising on thoroughness. A must read for any new student willing to gain rapid knowledge of 6sigma.

I gave it four stars because we used this as the required text for our last batch of business process green belts. The technical level was just about right for that group. I would not recomend it for black belts who will be doing more technical manufactucturing / quality/ product performance / design projects. I would rate it one or two stars for that. You could use for more technical black belts but I think you would want to follow up with a text that goes deeper into more complex statistical and logical tools.

This review is from: Statistics for Six Sigma Made Easy! Revised and Expanded Second Edition (Paperback)
A great book for those curious about Six Sigma as well as for those who practice it. As a Black Belt who has struggled through many authors who seem to feel Six Sigma must be confusing to be useful, this book is a breath of fresh air. I purchased the first edition of this book when I was studying for my Green Belt exam. It was very useful in making some of the more arcane areas of Six Sigma digestible for the beginning practitioner. I have recommended it to many of my friends who wanted a better understanding of Six Sigma. All have enjoyed the book – someone to the point that they decided to keep it (you know who you are). The second edition adds a chapter on Manufacturing Innovation, and updates some of the Excel formulae. The case studies are informative and entertaining. If you have team members who are intimidated by Six Sigma, you need this book.
