    Dear Marketeers and Advertisers,

    This book addresses ‘traditional’ applications of the Taguchi Method for engineered products, but does not mention the fields of advertising and marketing – fields where its application can double or even triple advertising responses.

    In fact, we have been doing just that for over six years now, with great results. Our latest endeavors include the use of the much raved about “Mahalanobis” approach for marketing. This is a technique capable of comparing two marketing groups – for example, one could be your loyal customers, and the other group could be customers loyal to your competitor. Again, the results reveal PRECISELY which variables are important to your loyal customers.

    Taguchi and Mahalanobis are approaches which no corporate marketing or advertising ventures can do without. Since our firm, KowalickDirect, has the only practitioners who really understand these approaches as they are used in marketing and advertising, we were literally overcome with client firms until we decided to teach the firms how to apply these tools themselves.

    In the meantime, read this book to get an idea, at least, of what the Taguchi approach is all about. And a warning about the misuse of these tools. The internet is currently full of so-called ‘consultants’ who will ‘guarantee’ certain results. Avoid them if possible.
