How to report to boss's superior's of his total lack of leadership and inability to manage?

I have quit my job because of my total dislike for my boss. He has caused me undue stress and is a horrible manager. It is a government job and he is not that important. I have received several compliments on my work and have been told repeatedly from higher uppers of the high quality of my work. They are very disappointed to see me go. He has made unjust criticism on my work and is trying his hardest to see flaws in my work. I truly believe he is trying to make me look bad because he is insecure and threatened by my work.

I am quitting this job and would really like to address his poor management. He is a micro-manager, poor communicator, immature, egotistic jerk and one that doesn’t do his job adequately. He does just as poor in his social life. He is a real loser, geek and doesn’t have a spouse or girlfriend. He is creepy looking and is a complete weirdo.

I can’t stand him and I want others to know they are losing a good employee because of the hell he has put me through. I would like to give a list of examples of his poor management and make recommendations to the next poor person that has to work with him without appearing to be vindictive.

I really don’t care about him as my reference, I won’t use him, I have many excellent references from credible people and |I wouldn’t trust him to give an accurate judgment of my work in the first place, because he is a total idiot.

He has another employee under him that also hates his guts. I am so stressed out working with him and I can’t handle the little time I have there without blowing up and swearing in his loser face.

Do it and it will follow you for your entire career………people talk and you always run into them sooner or later………suck it up and move on……….

If you quit, then he wins as he got you out of there. Also, you look petty and bitter trying to get him fired after you quit.

Your best option is to talk to HR or his boss to address the issue. Show your letters of commendation and his efforts to belittle you and ask for a transfer to another dept.

In this economy a gov’t job is the most secure.
